  Thank you for this forum! Without it I couldn't sit through the meetings!

  the only way i can sit through the meetings is due to having my tablet and connection to this forum!.

  since awakening, i can't believe how much i cringe each and every meeting when i hear all the propaganda and garbage spewed out from the bible and the society!.

  i only cope by venting on here.. (plus it is so easy when sitting at the back of the hall or on the sound control box... hahaha).

  There seems to be a lot of that going around. Before we left the brother in the back was so busy on his ipad he forgot to turn on the mics several times.

  The technolgy phase is sweeping the halls. I still have watchtowers where they said no and how wordly the internet was.

  Oh, and my favorite: how materialistic it would be to have to have the latest technology and the time that learning how to use it would take away from spiritual things. UGHHHH!

  some of these changes were at complete odds with what had been taught previously.

  a key example was the elevation of the watchtower society as "god's visible organization on earth".

  donuthole-Their gamebook in the past has been to float ideas out in talks and the literature to start prepping the religion prior to making the chanes.

  This is still their gamebook. They start prepping their minds about 8-6months before the new change will be presented and made policy. Ex. all the talks earlier ths year about being removed as an elder before the new power to the CO was given.

  Vidiot- by rebranding the WTS as an "e-religion" to make the loyalists think they're doing something new and exciting, whilst further hard-lining the Org's policies

  So, sad that they look at it from a one sided point of view: "Jehovah is speeding up the preaching work" instead of noticing that the whole entire world is moving into a new era.

  On a different note; your name wouldn't be short for the Village Idiot would it? LOL! Hilarious!

  Good thing my heart and mind are still healthy because I gave a huge portion of my youth to the WTBT$$$. Just don't move as fast as I did going door to door in the hot a$$$ sun.

  Far from die out, Rutherford's JW's flourished.

  Yeah, but Rutherford didn't have the internet and barely had television. I do see they are trying to push all the other sites to the 2nd or 3rd pages when the search engines pull up the results for J....... W..........s.

  They are trying to commandeer the internet during this theocratic warfare. They have been conditioning the sheep for months or more to obey them blindly.

  The good book says walk by faith. It doesn't say by blind faith through the teachings of deceptive men.

  Hang in there. This too shall pass. Plus, you do love you too much to hurt you right? Btw, your daughter is a huge part of you too.

  It is so sad how they divide the families all in the name of labeling someone as being spiritually strong or weak. You are way stronger than that. You were strong enough to learn the truth about them. Your freedom is a huge win. You just have to ask yourself what is needed to make this a win/win. You might be surprised what you come up with once you take a step back and regroup.

  Another poster suggested you not make a major decision when you are emotional. Great advice. If your wife can't see that you are a good provider, awesome father, and you've been loviing her in abundance just to stay with a raging lunatic, than...................

  Lovingly be assertive and do take the lead and don't let go. You could let her know that it's easy to judge until you are in that person's shoes. The wtbt$ follows a one size fits all mantra that is completely unrealistic. Remind her that you live in the real world and that you haven't found any company that will accept watchtowers or awakes in lieu of cash.

  I'm not sure if you still believe in GOD, but all things are possible through Christ.

  Boiling mad-need to vent!

  After services at another place of worship I was driving by and decided to stop by the hall. I think I really wanted to see if I recognized all the levels of dysfunctional and procdures to indoctrinate and keep them in blind submission.

  The mood- was just as cold and distant as it was when I attended reguarly.

  The topics-still inappropriate for growing children.

  The judging- know it all persona that everyone else is unworthy and still teaching the great family divide. It was actually said that parents could be a bad example for their children.

  The attendance- way down and the parking lot only 2/3 full.

  It was just creepy as I immediately recognized how they steer the meeting to their liking which totally justifies that it's not being directed by Jehovah's holy spirit. Visiting reassured me that I had made the better decision.

  Had a feeling that they had knew I had been on here and worship hoping. (LOL)

  Gosh, still trying to overcome how blind I was. Geesh!!

  @ wild thing- Yes, no other personification to date has summed up my feeling of freedom as complete as the Reading Rainbow butterfly.

  NHH- I know, right. I sat there today feeling so sorry for the ones still there. I thought I was lost when I left and boy now can I really see how lost I was, as they still are.

  After my experience today I am convinced that current Elders live here too.

  So sad it not the haven it could be due to miserable disobedient ones.

  my parents gave my addess to the elders without asking me

  so my folks went to the meeting today and somehow i got brought up and they gave them my address so they can call on me because i'm inactive,i am upset about it because they didn't ask me first,i told my parents i wish they hadn't of done that without asking me first and my dad's response was are you not baptised?

  and i said yes when i was 17 and i don't want to talk to anyone (i'm 51 now) and want to avoid any discussions that may cause me to lose my relationships with family that is still in,,so now i feel my successful fade will be jeapordized.

  NO REGRETS!!!!!!

  I actually went back and listened to the same talk I had heard several times before we left, but this time it had another twist. WTH??? I felt so many different emotions, but not one was regret. I saw so many truly unhappy people in Jehovah's house. I seemed to be one of the only people with a smile and who was genuinely happy.

  Even sitting there shunned: They had no power! It phased me even less than before and before it didn't bother me one bit.

  Did I mention I have no regrets. Also, everyone is not doing it, but if you choose to do it...ENJOY life and all of it's truthful promises.

  I was designed to be happy serving GOD and free thru Christ. I have no regrets leaaving the negative, bloodsucking, rrepetitive, unloving society.
